OUR APPROACH
HEALING IS MORE THAN TALK
At Bright Sky Integrative Recovery, our approach is different by design. We blend the best of modern psychiatry, experiential therapy, and integrative healing to create care that treats the whole person - body, mind, and nervous system. Our programming is grounded in research, delivered by experienced professionals, and always centered on the unique needs of each client.

A TRULY INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
Our programming goes far beyond traditional group therapy. Here’s what makes it special:
-
Talk less. Feel More.
At Bright Sky, our groups are dynamic and experiential - designed not as lectures but as hands-on, embodied experiences. Rather than simply learning concepts, clients actively engage in movement, practice, and real-time exploration to truly integrate the tools for healing. You’ll find a blend of:
Psychoeducational and skill-building sessions
Open process and psychodrama groups
Movement-based and somatic regulation practices
Nervous system regulation tools woven throughout
-
Nature is a co-facilitator in your healing.
Our outdoor sessions include nature walks, mindfulness in motion, and experiential exercises designed to calm the body and open the mind. The fresh air and wide skies of Central Oregon do more than set the scene - they support the nervous system and inspire new perspectives.
-
Come home to your body.
Through practices like restorative yoga, chi gong, and guided breathwork, clients learn to regulate their nervous systems and re-establish a sense of safety and connection within. These sessions are accessible to all bodies and designed to support stress relief and presence.
-
Sound that heals.
Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, this auditory-based intervention helps regulate the nervous system by stimulating the vagus nerve. It’s especially helpful for clients living with trauma, anxiety, or chronic dysregulation.
-
Non-invasive, neuroscience-backed relief.
TMS uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate underactive areas of the brain, often associated with depression and mood disorders. It’s FDA-approved, medication-free, and offered in partnership with licensed providers.
-
Breakthrough healing for treatment-resistant symptoms.
In a safe, medically supervised environment, ketamine is paired with guided therapy sessions to help clients access and process deep emotional material. This can be a powerful option for those who haven’t found relief through other interventions.
-
Healing doesn’t have to be heavy.
Through art, movement, games, and shared activities, clients reconnect with joy, play, and creative expression. These moments are woven with therapeutic intent—reminding us that healing can be joyful, too.
-
Sustain the light
Our relapse prevention plans go far beyond trigger management and avoidance. We help clients build a lifestyle that supports long-term wellness—including sleep, nutrition, movement, purpose, connection, and spirituality.
-
Rooted in science. Adapted to you.
At Bright Sky, we draw from a wide range of trauma- and attachment-informed models to support your healing. These approaches are integrated into both group and individual sessions, depending on your needs, goals, and preferences. Our team is extensively trained in evidence-based modalities, including:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Brainspotting
Somatic Experiencing
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Motivational Interviewing
NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM)
Every tool we use is selected for a reason - and always tailored to your goals and comfort level.
Healing doesn’t happen alone
At Bright Sky, we believe recovery is relational. Your healing is deeply connected to the people around you - family, partners, friends, even employers. That’s why we go beyond individual care to include support for your support system.
We offer:
Family and loved one coaching to improve understanding and communication
Education sessions and resources to help support people learn about trauma, nervous system regulation, and recovery
Referrals for parent coaching, young adult transition support, or couples therapy when needed
Help creating a recovery-informed environment outside the clinic
Whether your support network is strong and involved or still taking shape, we’ll help you build the kind of connections that foster real, lasting change.
